Eggshell
I love the way monochrome and high key photos bring out the detail in the subject.

Black, Red and Green
I’d never seen a black swan before – and whilst the water it was on was unappealling, the colour contrasts were interesting.

Birds of a Feather
I went out on this particular evening to photograph the sunset. And then decided I preferred the subtle tones in the sky in the east.

I popped out for a minute to get a landscape photo on 6th November. I got drawn closer to my subject, and stumbled upon a firework display in Chester. This shot is of people getting away after the display. I was away from home for 3 hours eventually. It’s as well that hubby is used to my foibles, isn’t it?

The Birds
The world was made so beautiful by the hoar frost. I spent two hours out in it with my camera, and had the most wonderful time!

This shot was tougher to do than I expected – it’s difficult getting fruit of the same size to create a hybrid which looks reasonably viable.
Mine, to be precise! Taken in black and white, with the colour added in photoshop, although my eyes are brown.
This photo was taken on the theme of “Crime”. The crime scene outline with Danbo was my original concept, and the broken heart was a last minute addition. Danbo’s such an enigmatic and versatile little character!
Tourists taking a first glimpse inside Norwich Cathedral.
Taken for a project on desserts – a fairly minimalistic one, in this case!
We went to Snugbury’s Ice Cream in Cheshire to see the 30′ tall straw meercat! The ice cream was a bonus, as was the presence of mummy pig and her piglets, who were penned separately.
This was taken during a photography session with my Mum in her back garden. I was fortunate in capturing this cobweb when the sun was at precisely the right angle to bring out an array of colours in it.
This was taken when the volcanic cloud came over the UK. It was rumoured the sunsets would be enhanced, so off I went to Talacre to make the most of it. In fact there was no noticeable difference, but still breathtaking none the less.
Crosby Beach is one of my favourite places for photography – it seems to be different each time I go there.
Love, love, love the way a fisheye lens entirely changes a scene!

What’s that for?
I happened to catch this little girl just as she was pointing and saying “What’s that for?”. I turned to her Dad, and said “Excellent question!”. He responded “Would you like to answer it?”. I declined.

Shifting Sands
I love the ripples left in the sand by the movement of the tide, and the fisheye effect really brought them out.

This is my Mum, who I have so much to thank for. Not least, she and my Dad started me on photography at around age 10. My first camera was my Mum’s old Box Brownie. Dad and I developed and printed the photos with an old enlarger in the garage.

Danboard is one of my favourite toys to photograph – and I love photographing toys! For someone with minimal features, she can be so expressive in so many situations!

Grimy
The muck on this nut appealed to me, and I liked the contrast achieved by placing it on a white background.

Handshake
I took this for a project theme – “Fake”. I like the apparent natural interaction between the wooden hand and my son’s.
