Not content at running 26.2 miles for Macmillan, Gary also decided that some nice thermal apparel and a heavy helmet might be a bit of a laugh. He’s a bit of a lightweight though. No lengths of hose, no ladders and really he should have been pulling a fire engine!

After 100 other Macmillan runners passed me on Tower Bridge Katy was the first who gave me a smile back. I’d have had difficulty smiling after 12 miles of running in the knowledge there were even more miles ahead!
